Submit Video Clips to Logan Live!

Video recordings of campus-related activities may be submitted for possible broadcast on Logan Live! If you want to provide “Colt Clips” please follow the guidelines below.

Please submit your video clips as soon as possible after the event takes place. The more time after an event, the less likely the clips will be shown on Logan Live!

Colt Clips Guidelines

1. Campus events may be during school or after school activities such as special classroom projects, club meetings, fundraisers, competitions, performances, etc.
2. Record your footage in high definition: At least 1440 by 720; 1920 by 1080 is best.
3. You may use a phone to record the footage, but make sure the images are wider than they are high. This is known as landscape mode.
4. Use a tripod, if possible. If not, make sure you hold your camera or phone as steady as possible. Record a variety of shots, each lasting from 10 to 20 seconds. Use wide shots to establish the overall scene and activity. Use closer shots to show details.
5. If you wish to include people talking about the event:
a. Make sure the microphone you use is very close to them so the recorded sound will be usable.
b. Make sure each person’s recording includes them clearly spelling their name and stating the year they are graduating. (Class of 2018, 2019, etc.)
c. If appropriate, have them say their relationship to the event. (i.e. team captain, club president, advisor, etc.)
6. Upload your footage to a Google Drive folder and share it with ryacco@nhusd.k12.ca.us
7. Type a brief summary about the activities shown in your recording:
a. The date and time it took place.
b. The name of the event’s sponsor.
c. Who participated.
d. What took place.
e. How to find out more information.
f. How students may participate at a similar future event (if applicable).
g. Anything else about the event that you think is important.
8. If you wish to provide your own edited video, do not include any music for which you do not have permission from the copyright holder.
